Triple J to Close Payless SuperFresh & Truckload Retail Store in Saipan

Triple J Saipan, Inc. announced today that its Payless SuperFresh & Truckload retail store in Saipan will close on October 31, 2025. The company will continue to serve the island through its wholesale division operating from its existing location in the Townhouse Shopping Center on Beach Road.

“This has been a challenging decision for our group,” said Robert H. Jones, Founder & Chairman of Triple J. “Our Payless store has been an important part of how we’ve served the community, and we are deeply grateful to our employees for their commitment and to the many customers who have supported us. As we mark our 40th anniversary of doing business on Saipan, we remain focused on honoring the relationships and trust that have carried us through the decades.”

The closure comes amid continued economic challenges and rising costs that have made it unsustainable to maintain retail operations.

“Our priority now is twofold: supporting our employees during this transition and reassuring our customers and partners that Triple J remains here for the long term,” said Jeffrey B. Jones, President & CEO of Triple J. “Our wholesale division will continue to serve the community, and Triple J’s commitment to Saipan and the Marianas remains steadfast after four decades.”

Triple J will work closely with employees and partners and will provide updates to customers on final shopping days and any closing promotions in the weeks ahead.
