He is back in China to attend the 2nd Global Outsourcing Summit 2008 in Henan province and the 4th International Cooperation Summit for CEOs, Provincial Governors and Mayors in Sichuan province.
“I will attend in response to the invitation extended to me,” Tudela told Variety before he left on Friday.
From Nov. 8 to 15, Tudela was accompanied by staffers Jose Tenorio and George M. Camacho, and agriculturist Isidoro T. Cabrera to sign the sister city agreement with Baishan and Siping cities.
On Nov. 29, Tudela attended the Micronesia Repatriation Association event in Okinawa, Japan.
Tudela said the association invited him to witness the awarding ceremony for Choken Ginoza of the Micronesia Repatriation Association who received a meritorious recognition award from the Okinawa prefectural government.
In his letter to Tudela, Zenichi Taira, the association’s vice chairman, said Ginoza received the award for his unselfish and untiring efforts on behalf of the association for the past several decades.
“We hope that you may join us in extending our appreciation to Choken Ginoza for all his endless support and undivided attention, reminding us all the close ties we all share in our culture and history,” Zenichi said.
The Global Outsourcing Summit will be held from Dec. 4 to 6 at the Yuda Palace Hotel in Zhengzhou City while the International Cooperation Summit is scheduled for Dec. 7 to 9 at the Inter Continental Hotel in Chengdu City.
The cooperation summit will focus on special investment projects, Tudela said.
Participants are also expected to discuss the global economy, global industrial transfer and economic innovations, he added.
