“But I expect him to get my concurrence first,” Tudela told the Variety.
Ogumoro declined to be interviewed before stepping out of Tudela’s office, saying he was “very busy.”
Tudela said he, Ogumoro, and Gov. Benigno R. Fitial discussed “issues and concerns” about the deputy commissioner’s reinstatement. Tudela declined to further elaborate.
Close to two months after Ogumoro’s appointment as DPS deputy commissioner, he was relieved by Tudela on May 19, 2010.
There were reports that his deputy was micromanaging DPS personnel and demeaning officers by shouting at them, among other things.
