SHAWN Reyes, 33, and Cherie Marie Delos Santos, 28, were arrested Monday, Sept. 16 on charges of burglary and theft, and conspiracy to commit burglary and theft, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Assistant Chief of Police Simon Manacop said the arrest stemmed from a burglary and theft incident reported to DPS on Thursday, Sept. 12.

“Police officers … made a violator stop on a vehicle the next day,” he added. “The stop yielded property, such as drones, power tools, car batteries, luggage, and personal identifications that were stolen from the burglary and theft incident,” Manacop said.

“Further investigation led to the identification of both defendants responsible for the incident. Reyes was arrested at his residence in Susupe on Sept. 16, at 4:59 p.m. while Delos Santos was … arrested at her residence in Finasisu at 5:58 p.m.,” Manacop added.

The two suspects appeared before Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio for a bail hearing on Tuesday afternoon. The judge imposed a $25,000 cash bail each on the defendants, who were remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.
