The purpose of the workshop is to facilitate the operational blueprint on the transition of the U.S. government in disaster management to all the relevant departments, offices and agencies and to evaluate each of the FSM’s state on their level of disaster preparedness initiatives.
The team has already completed the workshop with Yap, Pohnpei and Chuuk, and is planning on visiting Kosrae on Feb. 15-17.
The team will be accompanied by Oleen Poll, mitigation officer from the FSM Office of Environment and Emergency Management.
