US conducts personal finance lectures in Pohnpei

The presentation was part of the U.S. Embassy/COM-FSM forum lecture series, which provides U.S. government professionals as guest speakers for COM-FSM students, faculty, staff, and interested community members.

Approximately eighty individuals, including 12th graders from Calvary Christian Academy, attended the two lectures.

During the presentation, attendees learned the importance of money management, and walked through income, expenses, budgeting, emergency savings, bank accounts, loans, and investment analysis.

To apply the themes, Reynolds provided participants with worksheets to calculate income, expenses, and how to allocate finances wisely.

Subsequent lectures on financial management were requested by COM-FSM staff and other lecture attendees.
