The visit to Yap is scheduled to take place from June 17 to 19.
While in Yap, Kanazawa will be meeting with state officials including Gov. Sebastian Anefal, Yap Speaker Charles Chieng and FSM Congress Speaker Isaac Figir.
President Manny Mori said in his letter to the governor that he sees the visit as an opportunity to get acquainted with the new director, and learn his views and general concerns of USDA activities within the FSM.
USDA area director Gary Bloom is expected to arrive in advance of the mission and will accompany Kanazawa to his meetings.
