USDOL approves CNMI 2024 Prevailing Wage Report

(CNMI DOL) — The U.S. Department of Labor has approved the CNMI’s 2024 Prevailing Wage Study Report for the CW-1 visa program. Effective from July 1, 2024, until June 30, 2025, the new wages will be implemented for CW-1 determinations.

A total of 848 Standard Occupational Classification Detailed Titles found in the U.S. economy – 502 Detailed Titles were captured by the CNMI 2024 PWS. USDOL reviewed and approved 432 for use in the 2024 PWS wage data based on the CNMI’s 2024 PWS survey. Thirty-one are assigned the Guam OEWS wage values, and 385 are assigned the Adjusted OEWS wage values according to the letter from the Office of Foreign Labor Certification Administrator.

Remedio C. Mafnas, the acting secretary of the CNMI Department of Commerce, extended her gratitude to the businesses that participated in the 2024 PWS.

She stated, “We deeply appreciate your time and efforts in providing the essential data needed for this report.”

Acting Secretary Mafnas also expressed her sincere thanks to the Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs for technical assistance funds, which made this annual survey possible.
