The Tucson penitentiary is a high security institution for male inmates located in southern Arizona, according to the Bureau of Prisons Web site.
Villagomez is serving his seven-year sentence in a facility with highly secured walls or reinforced fences, a high staff-to-inmate ratio, and close control of inmate movement.
Inmates are limited to three total approved adult visitors, 16 years and up, at any one time, excluding infants, and not to exceed six total visitors.
Visiting hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, and from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
Villagomez’s projected date of release is Dec. 15, 2015.
Villagomez’s co-defendant and brother-in-law, former Commerce Secretary James A. Santos was admitted to the USP-Victorville facility in California on Sept. 4. His projected release is on April 21, 2015.
Villagomez’s sister and Santos’s wife, Joaquina Santos is still in transit.
Joaquina’s projected date of release is April 21, 2015.
Villagomez and the Santos couple were flown to the states on the afternoon of Aug. 24.
A federal jury found them guilty of corruption charges.
