“I will not vote for them again,” a government employee told this reporter.
Another employee agreed. “This is their last term,” she said.
She believes that it is only fair if lawmakers would also not receive their paychecks.
“Shame on them when they receive paychecks and other government employees do not receive theirs,” she added.
Lawmakers will not get paid during the shutdown, but they will get back pay because they will continue to report for work.
