She was sentenced by Superior Court Judge David A. Wiseman to six months’ imprisonment, all suspended except for seven days, with credit for four days already served.
Wiseman directed Anson to report to the Department of Corrections on Oct. 1, 2011 to complete the remaining three-day sentence. She is expected to be released from prison tomorrow.
Anson has signed a plea agreement, admitting charges of assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.
In exchange, the prosecution asked the court to dismiss with prejudice other charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of criminal mischief.
Upon release from prison, Anson will be placed on two years’ supervised release.
She will write a letter of apology to her victim, and pay him restitution amounting to $350.
Anson will also pay a $350 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and a probation fee.
She will complete an anger management course at the Community Guidance Center, and must not possess or consume alcohol or controlled substances.
Chief Prosecutor Michael Ernest and Assistant Attorney General Tiberius Mocanu prosecuted the case while Assistant Public Defender Douglas Hartig served as counsel for Anson.
