The joint effort workshop will take place on May 5-7 and will focus its discussion on various issues including HIV/AIDS, gender and youth, governance, and climate change among others. Its objective, in addition to these issues, is to present an overview of the Pacific Legislators on Population and Governance, establish and launch an
FSM parliamentary group on population and development while putting in place a work plan for 2010.
FSM Speaker Isaac Figir has invited Yap Gov. Sebastian Anefal to consider sending appropriate officials to attend the workshop and said his staff would be honored to provide clarification and details of the workshop to any participant.
