Yap chiefs to meet tomorrow

On top of the agenda list are the two main concerns about food and water supplies in the neighboring islands at the moment.

Some atolls in the group have begun sending in requests to relevant agencies of the state government to assist in finding solutions to the problems. This current problem in the neighboring islands is caused by the ongoing El Niño hot weather which has been predicted to be over somewhere in June.

Among the agenda items that the council would also want to discuss during this meeting is on the field trip service in all the islands.

Members of the Council of Tamol are mostly concerned about the number of field trips to each of neighboring islands of Yap.

Some of the members wanted the field trip ship to visit all the islands regularly but not to skip one island and pay it a visit the next time around.

The council will also be available to meet with other agencies of the state government as well as departments to follow-up on requests it has put through during its previous meetings.
