Yap conducts hazardous material training

The training, which ends today, involves day-long classes and instructional materials.

John Scott of Ampro Inc. of Guam is the facilitator.

The purpose of this training is to strengthen the skills of Yap’s first responders/receivers in responding to emergency situations.

It is designed for those who have previously attended this course and for other members of the Yap hazmat team that have never taken it.

Participants will be certified at the end of this training.

The first four days of the training were interactive, using lectures and slide presentations.

On the final day, a simulation exercise will be conducted and everyone attending will be required to participate.
