The school activities were a combination of Christmas and farewell to two individuals who have dedicated their time and effort in the development and improvement of St. Mary’s.
Maryknoll Sisters Marie May and Joanne McMahon are scheduled to leave Yap this Wednesday to return to the Maryknoll Center in New York.
They are the last Maryknoll sisters who have served in this part of the Micronesian region for the past 57 years.
