HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A man was accused of damaging a car owned by Hågat residents while they were sleeping.
Bwibwi Katamichy was charged with criminal mischief as a third-degree felony and criminal trespass as a misdemeanor in connection to a complaint made at a Hågat residence Friday at about 1:35 a.m.
According to a magistrate’s complaint, officers with the Guam Police Department responded and met with a woman who said she was asleep in her living room when she woke up to the sound of yelling outside the residence. The woman explained she didn’t think anything of it and went back to sleep.
However, she woke up later to a loud thump before she woke up her son.
The residents then checked outside and saw two men sitting on the grass in front of the house, and they saw the woman’s daughter’s car had a new dent on the trunk area.
According to the complaint, surveillance showed Katamichy, who was wearing a black shirt, punching the trunk of the vehicle.
The residents told Katamichy and the other man to leave the area, which they did, but less than five minutes later, Katamichy allegedly returned and entered the front door. The woman’s son pushed Katamichy out the door, the complaint stated.
