Sgt. Michael Rafael said the victim was attacked with a pipe in the head at the back of IA building in Madelaii on Friday morning.
The victim was brought to the hospital but he run away upon arrival.
Police caught him and brought him back to the hospital.
The Officers left when the victim was already at the Emergency Room.
After the police left, unidentified men arrived aboard a silver pick up and proceeded immediately to the ER and threw rock at the victim’s face.
Meanwhile, a riot was also reported to the police on Friday afternoon at the Koror side of Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge.
Sgt. Rafael said ten juveniles were picked up for booking and confinement after they engaged in a gang fight.
Rafael said young men from Ngermid, Airai, Ngerbeched and Madelaii engaged in a fight and five of the juveniles were injured during the commotion.
Five of the ten juveniles were already released to their parents.
In other police report, a woman also reported to police that a man came to her residence in Ngerbodel, Koror and slapped her face and damaged her car.
