Tellei Rechirei was summoned to appear in court yesterday afternoon to face his charge.
The police affidavit filed in court stated that a controlled buy- bust operation was conducted on October 29 at the Palau Community College track and field parking lot.
The confidential informant was instructed by the narcotics division personnel to purchase five marijuana cigarettes from the defendant.
The confidential informant was handed $25 to purchase the controlled substance.
After several minutes, the transaction was completed and the informant managed to purchase five marijuana cigarettes from Rechirei.
The police officers conducted another buy bust operation that same day and used another informant to buy another cigarette from Rechirei.
The informant managed to purchase one marijuana cigarette from Rechirei.
After the buy bust operation, personnel of the Narcotics Division arrested the defendant immediately.
The officers recovered $30 cash and three marijuana cigarettes from Rechirei’s possession.
