The victim identified as Garry Iyakar was pronounced dead at 9:10 a.m. at the Belau National Hospital.
Bureau of Public Safety Director Norvert H. Yano said that the victim’s cause of death was drowning.Yano said that on November 1, at 8:05 a.m., police received a report about a male individual who reportedly jumped of the bridge.The victim jumped at around 7:50 a.m. and could not be seen within 15 minutes.Police was called for assistance.At around 8:38 am, the victim’s body was found by the Marina.The victim is from Ngerbeched Hamlet.
