Man wanted for robbing an elderly woman

THE Department of Public Safety is seeking the public’s help in identifying and apprehending a man who robbed an elderly woman in San Vicente early this month.

DPS said it received a robbery complaint on Feb. 4, 2023, at 2:20 p.m.

At about 2:34 p.m., police officers arrived at the scene and met with the victim, “a local elderly woman who appeared shaken up,” DPS said. She told police that an “unknown male individual had walked into their home and robbed her.”

She said the suspect threatened her with a screwdriver and demanded her purse, cell phone and her black bag which contained her personal ID cards and cash worth about $800.

The victim said the suspect told her “not to move” before fleeing south on foot on Lupok Way.

The victim described the suspect as dark-complexioned, about 5’6” in height, with short hair, wearing an orange long-sleeve shirt, black short pants and slippers.
