Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the police were doing a routine patrol on Iyebukel when they came across three juveniles at 2 am on Tuesday.
The juveniles fled but police managed to apprehend one of them, a 16-year-old girl.Police found out that the minor was under the influence of alcohol.The minor was brought to the police station for curfew violation and illegal consumption of alcohol.The minor was later released to the custody of her parents.Aguon added that they conducted a check point in Koror and Airai on Wednesday.The check point was conducted between 12 noon to 5 pm and 8 pm to 11 pm.Aguon said they will conduct another check point next week to deter drunk driving and to enforce compliance of traffic laws.
