The members headed by Governor Edwin Chokai were earlier sworn in by Chief Justice Arthur Ngiraklsong at the Palau Supreme Court on July 1.
The Kayangel ceremony was attended by Palau officials who included President Remengesau and Ngiraklsong.
Chokai gave a short message encouraging the members of the legislature to work together to make Kayangel a better state.
Chokai said despite the disagreements and arguments within the legislature, he is sure that every member wishes to make the states better.
Chokai thanked Remengesau for the support he has given to the state.
He added that the president has managed to bind the Palauan people together which is reflective of the ties between the people of Kayangel and the rest of Palau.
Remengesau for his part said that being is Kayangel is relaxing that you can forget about your worries.
The president also recognized the presence of Ngiraklsong for never missing the inauguration.
He said that the Palau leadership was also well-represented at the ceremony.
He said that Kayangel should not be overlooked just because of its size.
The president said Kayangel is a good example of a state that has been helping to develop Palau while at the same time preserving its natural beauty and resources.
The president said Kayangel is known for its beauty and that its people should continue to cooperate and work together to make the state a better place.
