Ngarchelong State signs contract with dive tour agency

In a signing ceremony held at the Palau Royal Resort, Gov. Browny Salvador and Francisco M. Ueki of the UBDI signed the five-year contract for Blue Marlin.

“We all agreed with the terms and conditions and we are very happy working with each other.” Salvador said in an interview.

Ueki for his part also said that he is glad that their company has been allowed to operate a business in the State.

He said that there are other companies wanting to establish a business in the State but Blue Marlin was given the opportunity and first one whose request was granted.

He said that this is the first step in promoting tourism not only in Ngarchelong State but also in Palau as a whole.

Ueki said they chose Ngarchelong State because of its location.

“Ngarchelong is well-situated. It is located at the end of the island. The State has a diving spot that will attract tourists.” Ueki said.

The operation of the Blue Marlin will start today, June 1, 2010.
