According to Sugiyama, there’s a small road connecting the village to the Compact Road, and the proposed Phase 2 Road Project will continue connecting that road to the Phase 1 project that’s already finished.
“The Capital Improvement Programs office has already done their work,” Sugiyama said. “We are just waiting for the government to give the signal. We’ve already met the requirements.”
Sugiyama added that she learned that the government had already met with some contractors. There was a timetable last month for the construction companies to submit their bidding application.
“Hopefully we start the construction before end of this month or next month,” Sugiyama said. “The funding is already set, but the government has not yet given us the go signal.”
Sugiyama said they are supposed to use the money before the end of this year.
