(CHCC) — The Governor’s Covid-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. confirmed the CNMI’s 24th Covid-19-related death on Monday evening.
As of Feb. 14, 2022, there were 11 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:
3 were unvaccinated and 8 were vaccinated.
One of 11 was on a ventilator.
57 additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 7,587 cases since March 26, 2020. The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored.
Of the 57 cases identified in the community:
56 were identified on Feb. 13, 2022, and 1 on Feb. 9, 2022.
6 were identified on Rota.
Individuals who test positive for Covid-19 should stay home and isolate when they are sick (except to get medical care), even if they do not have symptoms. They should rest and stay hydrated. They can take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, to relieve symptoms, and live Covid-19 safe.
Individuals experiencing Covid-19 symptoms should stay home and live Covid-19 safe (except to get medical care or get tested for Covid-19). Other options include seeing their healthcare provider or calling the CHCC Tele-Triage hotline at (670) 233-2067. A total of 78 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on Feb. 14, 2022. Of the eligible population, 54.4% had received an additional dose.
The vaccination statuses of the 57 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 277 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Feb. 13, 2022:
23 via Community-Based Testing;
243 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and
11 at the Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of Feb. 13, 2022, there were 5,715 recoveries and 1,848 active cases.
6,970 of the cases were identified via community testing and 617 through travel testing.
