No-cost medical and veterinary services available to public starting July 12

(Office of the Governor) — Saipan community members seeking medical and veterinary services are encouraged to visit the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation Medical Care and Treatment Site, the Saipan Mayor’s Office Dog Shelter, or Saipan Cares for Animals from July 12 to 18, 2023. These services, provided at no cost to the public, aim to support the local community’s healthcare needs.

Tinian community members can access medical services at Tinian Junior-Senior High School, while  veterinary  services are  available  at  the  Tinian  Dog  Control  Office.  Rota  community members can receive medical and veterinary services at Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Junior-Senior High School. The clinics on Rota and Tinian will operate from July 12 to 17, 2023.

Individuals on Saipan who are planning to access medical services are asked to park and register at the American Memorial Park baseball field. From there, a shuttle bus will be available to transfer patients to the CHCC MCATS.

These services are part of the Innovative Readiness Training CNMI Wellness Mission, which  is  a  joint-service  medical  mission  primarily  comprised  of approximately 130 service members from the U.S. Army Reserve and augmented by the Air National Guard, U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Air Force.

No insurance or identification is necessary to receive services.

Service  members  who  are  credentialed  healthcare  providers  will  provide  vision  screenings, health exams, dental services public health education, and veterinary services.

The  IRT  CNMI  Wellness  Mission provides military medical members training opportunities while providing direct and lasting benefits to the residents of Saipan.
