THE Ohala Foundation has launched a fundraising drive that aims to help families in need.
Donors can commit 33 cents a day or about $10 a month, foundation chairman and co-founder Philip Mendiola-Long said.
“We need 200 people to sign up and commit to just 33 cents per day to help families in need,” he added.
The fundraising drive will allow the foundation to extend its services to Rota by April/May and to Saipan by September/October.
So far, Mendiola-Long said the foundation has distributed family food boxes to over 300 families, during 11 different distribution events, for a total of over 10,000 meals.
On Friday and Saturday, April 9 and 10, the foundation will host a “dollar days sale” from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bank of Guam on Tinian. The sale will feature bins of four pieces of clothing for $1.
