Mesebeluu, 27, had been a teller of the bank’s Ala Moana branch for one year.The daughter-in-law of senatorial candidate Regina Mesebeluu and former Speaker Augustine Mesebeluu, Lyola Mesebeluu was attacked by a teenager with a knife at her own residence in Hawaii.She, her husband Keith Mesebeluu and their two-year-old daughter Kia were all asleep when the 19-year-old intruder broke into their apartment.Keith Mesebeluu was sleeping in the living room when he was awakened by his wife’s scream.The husband run into the bedroom and found the assailant standing over his wife and stabbing her repeatedly.A scuffle ensued between Keith Mesebeluu and the burglar. Keith Mesebeluu was stabbed in the torso but he managed to disarm the burglar.Neighbors who heard the victim’s scream called the police.The burglar, who is said to be from Kosrae, was arrested at the scene.The Mesebeluu couple and their child were rushed to the hospital for treatment but Lyola Mesebeluu was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.Keith Mesebeluu and his child are now in stable condition.
