Palau receives more grant

The Enivironmental Quality Protection Board (EQPB) received two kind of grants one in the amount of $100,000 to provide fund for technical assistance for the development  and adoption of a design manual on storm water drainage /erosion control and $12,000 to provide supplemental fund to ozone depleting substance program.

The first program was funded by the United States Department of Interior and the second was financed by the South Pacific Regional Environmental Program.The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services meanwhile gave a grant of $58, 924 to provide supplemental fund for HIV project for the Pacific Islands and a grant for Bioterrorism Preparedness program of $273,896 which will provide fund for the program.The Ministry of Health here in Palau received the grant.The U.S. Department of Labor meanwhile gave separate grants to Workforce Investment Act (WIA) for its Adult Program   $96,244 and $61,982 to provide supplemental fund for WIA dislocated workers program and WIA adult program respectively.The United Nations Development Programme meanwhile gave $2,000 for the 8th Olbiil Era Kelulau (OEK) orientation workshop.The grants were received in December 2008.
