Del. Jonathan Isechal said that club is a nonprofit organization with tax exemption from the government of Guam.
The membership of the club was organized in the 1950s when Guam became their home.The fundraising will be held on April 18, 2009, at Lemai café.Tickets will be sold at $10 while door admission cost $20.During the event, guests will be entertained by traditional Palauan dancers and singers.The club will also be offering a grand prize of a round-trip ticket to Palau sponsored by Continental Airlines.In Palau, the contact persons for the tickets are Loretta Wong, Judge Uduch Sengebau Senior and Del. Isechal.For Guam, the contact persons for tickets are Nina Kilad Callaghan amd Mesengei Diaz.Last year the Guam Legislature passed a bill which approved the lease agreement between Guam and the Peleliu Club for the land in which the abai will be built.The structure will be erected on Dededo, Guam and the club was given a 25-year lease.The land is over 20,500 square feet.
