THE two Precinct 5 House members, Reps. TJ Manglona and Angelo Camacho, on Wednesday, Aug. 16, donated school supplies and personal hygiene products to Kagman High School ahead of the opening of classes on Aug. 22.

In an interview with Variety, Manglona said he and Camacho donated school essentials, such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and folders.

Manglona said after speaking with school officials, he learned that there was also a need for personal hygiene products. So they included these in their donations, he added.

“It’s hard now, financially, for families, especially for these types of health and hygiene products. To my knowledge, I don’t think there’s any public assistance that helps fund these products for low-income households. We wanted to try to do what we can to try to address these needs,” Manglona said.

He added that more donations are forthcoming for middle schools and elementary schools in Precinct 5.
