PSS suspends classes on Saipan, Tinian, Rota

Greetings All.

We understand that you and your family may be feeling worried or anxious due to the anticipated weather forecasts, and we thank you for your patience as we gather the most accurate and up-to-date information to help us make informed decisions. On Saturday, May 20, 2023, Governor Arnold I. Palacios declared Typhoon Condition III for the islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. As of today, May 21, 2023, there are no changes to the declared condition. However, we are monitoring the weather closely and are in constant communication with the appropriate government agencies.

•   All PSS classes on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, including Head Start/Early Head Start and Early Intervention programs, are cancelled tomorrow, Monday, May 22, 2023 and Tuesday, May 23, 2023 until further notice. All PSS school and Central Office employees, except 190-day contracted employees, must still report to work tomorrow, Monday, May 22, 2023 until further notice.

•   As Typhoon Watch remains in effect for the CNMI and in preparation for Tropical Storm Mawar, the following changes are made to our SY 2022-2023 promotion and graduation schedule:
