Police said that a man called on January 21 at 4 pm and reported an explosion at the quarry in Malakal.
The cause of the said explosion is still under investigation, Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said.Aguon said that the explosion caused the rocks to fly to the neighboring residences, damaging a vehicle, and a public utility in Malakal.The rock weighed at least 10 lbs Aguon added.Meanwhile a vehicle was also damaged when hit by a rock on January 22.Aguon said that the vehicle was damaged while traveling in Topside, Ngerkesoaol.The incident was reported at 2:20 am.Police said someone had thrown a rock on the vehicle while it was traveling.
