(CUC) — The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. issued the following statement Friday:
“We have received information that members of the public continue to be misinformed about Governor Torres’ CUC Account No. 82273. CUC had conducted its due diligence and made its determination. The investigation revealed that there has been no theft and all water consumptions were reconciled, billed and settled accordingly. These facts were stated at the legislative hearings. To be clear, the Governor’s account has been applied consistent with Commonwealth Law.
“We ask members of the public to please refrain from disseminating false information on this issue.”
