The burglars broke into the house between 3:30 pm to 5 pm while the woman and her family were out.
The incident was discovered by the woman’s sister when she went home at around 5 pm on Wednesday.The sister was surprised to see the front door was already open and clothes and other things were already discarded on the floor.The incident was reported to the police at 5:30 pm.The woman in an interview on Wednesday said that the suspects stole only a $1 bill which was placed on a wallet and a can of spam.She said no other valuable things were stolen from their house.The woman said it looked like the suspects were looking for something because their suitcases were also ransacked by the suspects.The woman said she last secured the place at 3:30 pm to go to a friend’s house in Ngesaol.The burglars used a bolo and destroyed the door to gain entry of the apartment.The woman said a neighbor told her that two suspected men were seen watching the apartment earlier. One of the men was wearing a red hat.
