Rumor alert: RB Camacho wasn’t arrested for assault

SAIPAN independent mayoral candidate Ramon “RB” Camacho said he was never arrested for assault over the weekend.

“I was with my grandchildren on Sunday, relaxing,” Camacho added. “I don’t know who started that rumor, but I was not arrested.”

He added, “As a former law enforcer in the CNMI, I am committed to upholding and following the law.”

The retired police major vowed to be a “doer” and to serve the community to the best of his ability if elected mayor of Saipan.

A lifelong farmer, Camacho is also a former chairman of the CNMI Board of Parole and of the Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council.

He was with the Department of Public Safety for 20 years.

At present, Camacho is president of Marianas Printing Service.

The other candidates for Saipan mayor are Republican Rep. Joseph Leepan T. Guerrero and Democratic Rep. Richard T. Lizama.
