SAIPAN community members will honor and bid farewell to Alingano Maisu before it departs the island.
Godfather’s Bar and Restaurant co-owner Scott Dottino will join Grand Master Navigator Sesario Sewralur and his crew members for a sendoff event at 6 p.m., on Friday, July 14, at the Civic Center beach in Susupe.
Dottino and other members of the island community are hosting an informal beach barbecue get-together in honor of Sewralur’s 54th birthday, which was celebrated on Tuesday.
Godfather’s Bar/Restaurant will donate pizzas and other items for the occasion.
Everyone is welcome to the party on Friday so they can greet the navigators and view the Alingano Maisu before it heads to Palau on Sunday, July 16.
Sewralur and his crew members have also received bottled water and other provisions from the gathering’s hosts.
