Sea plane operation in Palau to take off soon

Richard Alonz, Palau National Aviation safety inspector said that ABA Sky Inc. secured the necessary permits to start its inter-island services.

Alonz said the seaplane conducted a test flight on Sunday. It is a five-seater plane that will operate sorties for tourists and inter-island movements.

Alonz said the operation has already been granted a permit and it will be launched as soon as all necessary documents have been completed for it to fly commercially.

ABA Sky Inc. will provide special promotional rate for the first few months of its operation.

Director of Operation Masanobu Sato and Assistant Director of Operation Francisco Beech said that the company will be offering affordable and reasonable prices for local and tourists.

Alonz said this is the first sea plane operation registered in Palau.

On Sunday, Capt. Joni Jonco maneuvered the plane from the airport to the KB Bridge waters.
