Security guard in Palau theft case charged

Emerson Obak was on duty as a security guard at the Hawaiian Belau Rock Company in Ngetmeduch when he burglarized it on 6 with Trench Derbai and Sing-Ich Etpison, the prosecution said.

Derbai was charged with receiving stolen property and burglary while Etpison was charged with burglary and grand larceny.It was Etpison who told Derbai and Emerson that he knew a door that they could break into to enter the office, the prosecution stated.It added that Obak used a knife to pry the door open.Derbai then entered the office while Etpison stood at the door and served as a watch out, the prosecution said.Obak found a small box inside a drawer,  took all the coins, put them inside his pocket and walked out of the office, the prosecution stated.Obak brought the coins to a gas station and exchanged them for $15 in bills.Etpison took $433 cash from the box and gave Derbai $96, the prosecution stated.
