KOROR (Palau Horizon) – The Bureau of Public Safety (BPS) is now on the eighth day of search for a man reportedly missing at the wild forest of Ngaremlengui State, last week.
BPS Director Norvert Yano said they thoroughly combed the three- mile Ngermeskang forest from the area where Ngirametuker Idesmang reportedly harvested betel nut, still there was no sign of him.
“Even the river is shallow and clean but police have not found the man.” Yano added.
However, the director believes that Idesmang is still alive and he might just be disoriented and got lost at the middle of the forest.
However police search still continues for the missing man.
Idesmang was reportedly missing on March 1. According to the police investigation, the man went out to harvest betel nut at the jungle area of Ngermeskang. Five hours later, when he has not returned his family reported the incident to the police.
Police immediately conducted the search but as of this time they have not found Idesmang.
