Bureau of Public Safety Director Norvert H. Yano said, Chin was arrested in Koror State through warrant of arrest issued by the court.
According to police report, Attorney General (AG) Investigator and FWD officer in-charge Lt. Richard Ngiratrang asked assistance from police patrol and arrested Chin.
Yano said Chin was detained at the Koror Jail for couple of hours for questioning and released him afterward.
Chin is facing conspiracy, misconduct in public office, grand and petit larceny and possession of ammunition.
He was suspended in the office in July for alleged irregularities. The suspension order was issued by the Ministry of Justice on July 20.
Justice Minister Johnny Gibbons said Chin was suspended temporarily while pending further investigation.
Ngiratrang was appointed to replace Chin.
