Taiwan’s youth ambassador to visit Palau

The Taiwan Embassy said that “in order to foster understanding and friendship between young people of Palau and Taiwan, as well as to broaden their horizon and foster their future leadership, a 9-member delegation from National Central University, one of the reputable higher education institutions in Taiwan, will interact intensively with 25 Palauan high school students for three weeks, Monday through Friday.”

This is the second year that that the IYAIP program will be conducted.

The program offers a variety of courses and activities, including math, science, computer skills, Chinese culture, sports, music and dance among others.Besides classroom courses, outdoor activities for the public interests designed to arouse civism of the youngsters will also be part of the program. The students will also have the opportunity to participate in environmental protection work on July 14.

“Through such intensive interactions, not only can the youths from both countries learn from each other, understand better each other’s tradition and culture, but also solidify their mutual friendship. They can also benefit in terms of enhancing their wisdom and global perspectives,” the embassy said.
