Task Force nab 15 for illegal drinking and disturbances

Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that Junior Benjamin, 26; Lamor Arurang, 18; Dennis Ito, 51; Reggie Remoket, 29; Ngirakleis Ngoriakl, 34; Jerome Brel, 25; Jarret Olikong, 19; Hinkley Ngiraked, 18; Olai Youch; Eferino Sadang; Robin Abraham; Telbiil Ngiraked; Demei Tengadik, 38 and two minors.

They were arrested on Thursday and Saturday for illegal consumption of alcohol, curfew violation, drinking in public place, drunk and disorderly conduct, assault, disturbing the peace, trespassing and possession of a controlled substance.The arrested persons were apprehended for causing disturbances at residences and establishments in Topside, Idid, Ngerbeched, Ngerkesaoal, Madelaii and Meyuns.Hinkley Ngiraked was spotted climbing out of the gate of George B. Harris Elementary School early dawn on Saturday. He was under the influence of alcohol when the Task Force chanced upon him.Youch was intoxicated and was shouting at the Ministry of Education building when apprehended by the police Saturday dawn.Remoket was disturbing a store in Madelaii when police nabbed him. While he was under questioning at the police station, authorities found marijuana in his possession.Meanwhile police also responded to various reports of theft incidents over the weekend.A security guard of a store in Topside reported that a customer went to their store and took six packs of beer and soda and left the store without paying for the items.A man also reported that someone stole his cell phone which was placed on top of his desk at his business establishment in Ngesekes.A man also reported that his apartment in Sakurakai was burglarized and the burglar stole digital camera, IPod, cell phone and sunglasses. The value of the stolen items is $1,200.A malicious mischief incident was also reported to the police on Saturday.A man reported that his car parked across the Surangel establishment was vandalized with a hard object scratching the driver’s side door.
