The suspect was identified as Ngoderii Tiakl and he was identified by his victim Godwin Saikemal.
Police investigation showed, around 11 a.m., the victim came home and noticed that the tarp covering his house front window was opened and the front door was unlocked. Saikema entered his house and saw the suspect standing at the living room carrying his DVD player.
While the victim was contacting the police, the suspect immediately fled the scene.
The case is pending for further investigation.
Meanwhile, another incident of grand larceny was reported at the Ngerchermai hamlet, Sunday.
Based on the police report, at around 5:46 p.m. Jamie Ngirausui called the police and reported that her apartment at the Laurentino Ulechong was entered by an unidentified suspect.
Police investigation showed, the suspect entered the apartment by forcibly opening the mosquito screen and removing the louvers.
Suspect carted away with a portable DVD player worth $140 placed inside the victim’s room.
Police is still conducting further police investigation.
