Napoleon said the theft incidents happened at the residences in Iyebukel, Ngerbeched, government office in Madelaii and at the internet cafe in Meyuns.
The police report indicated that unknown persons went to the victims residences and stole their cell phones, bush cutter, gas container with fuel and MP3.A foreigner also lost her cell phone while at an internet café in Meyuns on Monday afternoon.The police report also stated that a Japanese tourist who went on diving also lost valuable items.The tourist left his bag at the tour company office and went out for diving.When he came back later, his bag was already missing. The bag contained $40, passport, credit cards and insurance card.Napoleon said two employees of the tour company are now under investigation in connection with the theft incident.A swimmer also lost her cell phone when someone went to her locker Tuesday night.The victim was swimming at the pool in Meyuns when the thief took the phone.Meanwhile, unknown persons also tried to steal gasoline from three government vehicles.The government vehicles belonging to CIP was parked in front of the office in Madelaii when someone went there and put a hose on the gas tank and tried to steal gasoline.However the suspect did not succeed in getting fuel from the vehicles.
