SUPERIOR Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio has granted the petition of Mary Ann Borja Arriola to issue a temporary restraining order against Rowina Ogo pursuant to the Domestic & Family Violence Act of 2000.
Judge Kim-Tenorio issued the TRO and order to show cause on Aug. 15.
The judge ordered Ogo to appear for a hearing on Aug. 23 at 9 a.m. in Courtroom 217.
“Failure to attend the hearing may result in further orders against you. You have the right to appear and oppose the application, with or without an attorney,” the TRO stated.
The TRO also ordered Ogo “not to contact, molest, attack, strike, threaten…batter, telephone, text or email message or disturb the peace of Mary Ann B. Arriola.”
Ogo was ordered to stay at least 200 yards away from Arriola’s residence in Garapan. She must not in any way endanger or disturb Arriola and her dependents, including her daughter, anywhere on Saipan.
Violation of the TRO is punishable by a $100 fine, six months in jail or both. The TRO will expire on Aug. 23.
Ogo was served with the TRO on Aug. 16, Variety learned.
She was arrested on Aug. 12 on the charge of assaulting Arriola at Herman’s Modern Bakery Restaurant on Airport Road, Dandan around 9 a.m.
Ogo was later released after posting bail in the amount of $1,250. Police said she was charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace.
Her arraignment has been set for Aug. 29 at 9 a.m.
Arriola is a supporter of the Arnold I. Palacios-David M. Apatang independent gubernatorial ticket while Ogo is campaigning for the Republican tandem of Gov. Ralph DLG Torres and Senate Floor Leader Vinnie F. Sablan.
