In Kayangel State, the special election will be held on Nov. 30.
According to Palau Election officer Lulu Ermaluuk, there are two candidates vying for the legislative seat. The candidates are Ricky Ngiraked and Tadao Ruluked.
The election will start from 7 a.m. and will last until 7 p.m.
Ermaluuk said there are two polling places to be put up by the PEC during the election, one in the election office as the central box and one in Abai in Kayangel State as the proper box.
The special election will be held to fill the vacant seat of Kurt Ngiraked who did not assume his post since he won in May general election.
Ngiraked was reportedly employed and working in Palau Community College.
Kayangel State has 409 registered voters.
Meanwhile in Ngatpang State, the general election will be conducted on Dec. 21.
There are also two contenders for gubernatorial post — Wanda Techitong-Remeliik and Gilbert U. Demei.
For the legislature at large, there are 13 candidates. Among the candidates are Johnson Emesiochel, Jersey Iyar, Elin R. Kloulchad, Lorenzo Osilek, Siles Ngiraremiang, Rideph R. Emesiochel, Edwin Arurang, Ibuuch Tomoichi, Constantino Ngiraked, Skeras Beches Etpison, Francesca R. Otong, Lee T. Otobed and Razi Cboy Rimirch.
As of this time, Ngatpang States has 262 registered voters.However, the deadline set for registration is on Nov. 22.
