Two cases of arson under probe

Police probe stated that at around 4:27 a.m. a Mitsubishi Pajero with plate number 3554, colored Maroon and owned by Geoffrey Joe Wilson was set on fire by a still unidentified suspect.

Police investigation showed, the vehicle was parked at the back of the Belau Medical Clinic in Dngeronger hamlet, Koror, when the suspect forcibly opened the vehicle and set it on fire. The car was totally burned and damaged.

NO suspect has been identified. Police investigation is still on going.

In less than an hour, at around 5:22 a.m. another vehicle was reportedly burned at Ngetkib hamlet in Airai.

The Lexus RS 300 SUV owned by Taffok Etpison was totally damaged.

Investigation showed, the vehicle was parked at the victim’s residence when an unidentified suspect entered and set it on fire.

According to the victim, he was sleeping when awakened by a sound coming from his garage. When he enter the garage, he saw that his car was burning. Etpison immediately put out the fire and called the police.

Police is conducting further investigation on the incident.
