Two cases of grand larceny under police probe

According to the report, at around 12:13 p.m. on August 31, Albino Aichi, Palauan and resident of Ikelau, called the police office and reported that his cell phone and charger were missing from his bedroom.

Aichi reported that although the charger’s worth is undetermined, his cell phone together with the sim card is worth $425.

Based on the police investigation, at around 4:30 in the morning on the same day, Aichi left his home, which was closed but unlocked. After 10 minutes upon his return, he noticed that his front door was open and his cell phone was missing.

The case is still pending for further investigation.

Meanwhile, a Chinese male customer of Happy Hour Karaoke Bar also called the police and reported that unidentified suspects entered the karaoke bar’s barracks at the Ngerkese and stole some of the employees’ belongings.

The police immediately responded and conducted investigation.

Based on the police probe, there was no trace of forced entry at the barracks. But they found out that two luggage belonging to the employees have broken locks. A cash worth $360 and a white color wrist watch worth $85 owned by Lili Zhang and another $800 cash owned by Xianoe Wang were reported missing.

According to the investigation, suspects allegedly know that the two victims have hidden money inside their luggage.

No suspects have been identified yet. The case is still under investigation.
