The suspects were arrested for theft of vehicle.A man called police at 2 am on Sunday and reported that the suspects stole a vehicle which was parked in front of a nightclub in Idid.The suspects drove towards Meyuns and abandoned the car at the area.However they were identified and were arrested later by the police officers.Meanwhile nine other persons were also arrested for disturbances, DUI and reckless driving, malicious mischief and petit larceny and theft.Favian Ngirangesil, 22; Flora Delmel, 48; Johnson Ngirakesau, 29 and Reynard Leong, 48, were arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace for causing disturbances in Ngerbeched, Iyebukel and Airai, Saturday and Sunday.Wilbur Williams and Ivin Yangirelmal, 24, were arrested for drunk driving and reckless driving while Maica Ifamilik, 21 and Daheng Cheng were arrested for petit larceny and theft and Dona Elchi, 50, was arrested for malicious mischief.Williams was arrested for overtaking a police car and for driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol while Yangirelmal was arrested for operating his vehicle on a high speed without tail lights.Ronnie Mamis, 20, was cited for minor consumption of alcohol when the car he was driving run off the roadway in Airai Thursday night.
